Artist's Comments
This was taken as part of a screenlighting exercise at my film school. Of the images in my gallery this was the first taken solely using artificial light, resulting in an entirely composed shot. The problem we had was that we were shooting in a green screen studio and didn't have very much time. We were shooting a monologue from the godfather with a waitress sitting in the background. The main objective for me creatively was to create good contrast and framing. In the camera the girl in the background is on the right side of the man's head and he is turned slightly to the left to face camera.
